Barefoot Bungalow #204 at El Cortez is your perfect island getaway! Located just 3 ½ miles from Port Aransas and 1 mile from Beach Access Rd 1. It takes about 5 minutes to drive to Port A or about 15 if you’re in a golf cart on the beach.

You will love the spacious living room and bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a bathroom that has a tub/shower. The guest room has a queen size bed, also with a bathroom that has a shower. The master bedroom has a power adjustable bed for a perfect night’s sleep. The futon in the master makes a great sleeping spot for children. There is also a memory foam queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Cable and WiFi are available in the condo with a 50” TV in the living room and 32” in each bedroom, all of which are Amazon Fire TVs ready for you to login to your favorite streaming apps! Plenty of seating in the living room and kitchen for hanging out or having a movie night. Echo dot in the living room is great for listening to some tunes or playing games. The kitchen is fully loaded with necessities for preparing meals or evening cocktails!

Relax at either of the 2 pools where you can soak up the sun, lounge under the covered patio, or use one of the BBQ grills to cook your catch of the day! There is a fish cleaning facility onsite.

Borrow the beach wagon if you’d like! It’s only about a 5 minute walk along the newly built golf cart accessible boardwalk. Other amenities at Barefoot Bungalow include:

  The home was in a great location and proximity to beach access. I was really pleased that they had toys/books available for my granddaughter to use during our stay. The only issue we had was that a neighboring resident/visitor kept their dogs outside and they would bark at any walkers passing by. This would make it hard to sleep/rest during our stay. I realize that can be outside your control but guests would need contact numbers to report such disturbances.

  This was really a cute place to stay and served a purpose for a short getaway on the beach. We loved the fact that we could get a buggy delivered to us and we were able to drive the buggy straight onto the beach within two minutes. We will definitely be back

  The great: What a beautiful condo!! Very spacious bedrooms and wonderfully decorated. The little “extras” of a beach wagon, chairs, and boogie boards was so thoughtful! The walk to the beach was only about 5 min & the pool was sparkling clean. Views were great. Very nice to sit outside by the pond and watch the sunset. Upon arrival, there was no power in th bedrooms or bathrooms. We called, and the very processional maintenance guys came right over. Turned out it was only a breaker that had blown. The less great: I had called the day before and talked to someone at the management co. & asked about an early check in. Was told that would be fine as the condo wasn’t occupied the night before. Called back on day of to verify the beach wagon listed in the amenities was still there & let them know our ETA (all were in the car for our 3 hour drive). Spoke to “Brenda” this time who informed me they would NOT allow an early check in & she had never heard of offering a beach wagon in the condos. She kept talking over me and telling me how these “3rd party sites” promise things that they don’t have. We eventually got it worked out (both the early check in and the wagon verification) but her less than courteous attitude and lack of knowledge about what the condo actually had, didn’t set a good tone for the start of our trip. The other neg was the AC really struggled to keep the bedrooms cool. It got so hot in there at night I just opted to sleep in the living room where it was much cooler. Other than that, the location and the overall experience was very positive. We would stay again, perhaps when it’s not so hot!

  Great experience. We have stayed here before and are always pleased with the units. Unit 204 was newly remodeled, everything new, clean and well stocked. Had an issue with the TV the first day and repairman arrived at unit within 15 minutes. Area is beach accessible and safe. Would definitely stay here again because I don’t think there is another area that compares.

  The place had great decor and was super clean. Would recommend for sure. It's a pretty good trek down to the beach and the mosquitoes will get you if you don't walk at a brisk pace, but it's a very nice boardwalk and not as crowded as north of the golf course. I went in the off season and it was great.
